About Coinpric
Coinpric is an independent publication covering cryptocurrency prices, markets and the rules being written around them. The name is the brief: coin, price. The number comes first and the story follows.
What we do differently
Three things, and they are all things you can check rather than claims about tone.
The price layer actually works. Plenty of sites in this niche talk about markets without showing one. Our live data is server-rendered, refreshed on a documented schedule, and labelled with its source and its age everywhere it appears. When we cannot source a figure we leave it out rather than print a placeholder — so a sparse table here means missing data, not a broken page.
Every price-relevant story is stamped with the price it was written at. We capture the asset’s price once, at the moment of publication, freeze it permanently, and display it next to the live price. It makes the archive self-auditing: you can see instantly whether a piece was written into a rally or a drawdown, without taking anyone’s word for it. It is a timestamp with a number attached — not a track record, and not advice.
Analysis without calls. We publish price analysis and on-chain reads, and we do not tell you what to buy. We do not run token promotions dressed as research, and we attribute other people’s price targets to them rather than adopting them.
What we cover
Market news across Bitcoin, Ethereum, altcoins and stablecoins; daily, technical and on-chain price analysis; regulation, tax and government adoption; DeFi, NFTs and the underlying technology; exchanges, fees and derivatives; and guides for people who are new to all of it. Alongside the reporting we maintain coin pages with live prices, charts and plain-English explainers of what each asset actually is.
Where we are
This publication is early. We would rather describe that accurately than dress it up: the live data layer, the coin pages and the editorial standards are in place, and the newsroom is still being built. Editorial is written by named contributors who stand behind their work, so you can see who wrote any piece and what else they have written from the byline. We will not pad that list with invented staff — our editorial guidelines explain that in full.
