Bitcoin (BTC) Updates
Bitcoin news that matters usually comes down to four things: flows, miners, rules and infrastructure. Everything else is commentary. This is where we cover the first four and try to be clear about which is which.
Flows means where coins are actually moving — into long-term storage, onto exchanges, into or out of the funds that hold Bitcoin on institutions' behalf. Miners matter because their economics are mechanical: revenue depends on price and on the block subsidy, which steps down at each halving, and the consequences show up in hash rate. Rules covers the regulatory and tax treatment that determines what holders can practically do. Infrastructure covers custody, payment rails and the things that break.
Every price-relevant story here carries our Priced at Publication stamp — the BTC price at the moment we published, frozen permanently, shown next to the live price. Read something from months ago and you can see immediately whether it was written into strength or weakness, which is usually the missing context in an archive.
What we will not do is tell you where the price is going. We report what happened and cite it; where somebody else has made a forecast and it is newsworthy, we name them and it stays theirs. If a story turns on a number, that number has a source and a timestamp.
For the asset itself rather than the news, our Bitcoin page carries the live price, a chart and a plain explanation of how the network and its supply schedule work. The halving countdown tracks the next subsidy cut from the live chain tip. Nothing in this section is financial advice.
