Daily Market Analysis

A daily market wrap is easy to write badly. The temptation is to attach a confident cause to every move, and most intraday moves do not have one that can be identified honestly. We try to describe what happened and be explicit about what is inference.

Each piece covers what moved and by how much, whether it happened on meaningful volume or on very little, where the notable levels were, and what the broader market context was — whether a move was asset-specific or the whole market travelling together. Where the cause is genuinely knowable, such as a scheduled announcement or a large liquidation cascade, we say so and cite it. Where it is not, we say that instead of inventing a narrative.

Volume is the part most readers skip and the part that matters. A large move on thin liquidity tells you something quite different from the same move on heavy participation, and the difference frequently determines whether it holds.

Every piece carries the Priced at Publication band, which matters more in a daily wrap than anywhere else on the site: it timestamps the analysis against the market it was written into, so a piece read three weeks later is self-auditing rather than misleading.

We do not issue calls, we do not publish price targets as our own, and we do not report a level as significant unless it can be pointed at. For live figures alongside the commentary, see the market table and the Fear & Greed Index. Nothing in this section is financial advice.
