From a psychological perspective, it’s just as simple. Our bodies are our primary sensory organs, but our minds are our primary cognitive organs. We cannot experience our thoughts without them. And then, when we engage with our senses we’re in a level of awareness called perceptual awareness. This means that we are aware of our surroundings, but our senses are just a reflection of our thoughts. This is also known as the “present moment.
This sounds like a great philosophy course, but is it really? I’m not a philosopher, but I have spent a lot of time watching people on YouTube, which has given me some insight into what I believe. My belief is that our thoughts are simply our experiences in the present moment. When we think something, we’re experiencing that thought. And if our thoughts are experienced as thoughts, then it is hard to argue that we are in a state of awareness.
What we are in a state of awareness is the present moment, not the idea of an “idea” or “feeling” in the present moment. What we are in the present moment is what we are experiencing right now, and that has no future. What we are experiencing right now is the future, and that future is the present moment.
The future is the future of our thoughts. The present moment is the present moment of our thoughts. When we think about something, our thoughts are coming from the present moment of that thought. That thought is the present moment, and that is the future of our thoughts.
