If it’s really important that your home inspector check out the roof and walls, your realtor should be able to tell you that.
Of the four steps of the home inspection, the second one is the most important. If your home inspector hasn’t gotten to that, he will likely end up leaving you with a ton of questions that you really don’t want answered. One such question that your realtor should be able to answer is what the condition of your home is.
Your realtor is probably the person who will get to tell you what is wrong with your home. If he can’t tell you that, then he has no clue what is going on. In fact, he is the person who should be talking to you about what is wrong with your home (and he should be able to).
